Some things are sure to catch my eye. Flowers, mountain vistas, loving relationships… and books. And what catches my eye often catches my lens. A few months ago, Charlene Storey posted about the magic of libraries; I responded, commenting on how I take so many pictures of libraries and bookstores. In our exchange, she suggested I had an ‘accidental series’ in the making. So here I am, pulling together some of the visual magic of books from the past several years. I find it interesting that these are all libraries and used bookstores (which suck me and my husband in for indeterminate amounts of time and almost always convince us to buy something); I didn’t even have any pictures of new bookstores. There’s just something about mix-matched titles, worn covers, and sagging wooden shelves that speak to me.

I love books and libraries and you❤️
Oh, I love all these photos! And the fact that you 'accidentally' fell into this series. Of course you have photos like these, showcasing the diverse personalities of bookstores! Books are such a huge part of our lives, how could you not.
